The sun is going down, and all I can think about is our cat not lying next to me. I can't call her name because I know she won't come. She isn't hiding. She just passed on to greener pastures, where she will always feel warm, and she can see her old friends again.
I want to tell you about Mittzy. She was my little girl. I don't have children yet, but as far as I am concerned, she was my kid. I met my husband, Aaron, in 2022, and I quickly found out that he is a big cat person. He grew up with cats all around him. I did not have the same experience.
My family always had dogs. My mom is super allergic to cats, and I didn't like cats at all. I wasn't crazy about living with cats, but I loved Aaron, and I knew it was something I had to do. Mittzy was his girl. He got her when she was a kitten, and they were a match made in heaven.
Mittzy was hyper, loving, clever, playful, and loyal. I got used to being around her, and she got used to being around me. I fell in love with her pretty quickly. She didn't like being around most cats or dogs, but she was very friendly to humans. She welcomed me into the Curtis family and loved on me.
I never thought I would be a cat owner or like cats, but now I love them, and it is all because of her. I will always be grateful for how much joy and love she brought to our lives. She made my transition from Louisiana to Pennsylvania a little easier.
Unfortunately, she got really sick, and after doing everything we could to help her, we had to let her go yesterday. She was almost 15 years old.
I have never been this close emotionally to any animal or pet, and it really hurts to not see her around anymore. She left her mark all over our first home, and I will cherish the memories I have of hers forever. She changed our lives forever.
Thank you for everything, Mittz. I will miss you and love you always. You will always be my little girl.

So sorry for your loss. I didn't have the pleasure to meet Mitzi. She was beautiful and I am so glad y'all included her in y'all's wedding pictures. So sweet! Cherish y'all's memories. ❤️ππΌππΌππΌ
